About Us

Our head instructors have lived in Okinawa, Japan, the birthplace of Karate while training under the watchful eye of Kuba Yoshio sensei (10th dan Goju Ryu Karate).

They have both been awarded 3rd and 4th dan ranks and have been given the title of Shibu cho (Branch chief) of the Okinawa Karate do Kenpo Kai in Australia.

All of our instructors have been to Okinawa to train and compete.

If you want to learn real no nonsense Karate direct from the source, look no further.

What is Goju Ryu Karate?

Goju ryu , Japanese for "hard-soft style," is one of the main traditional Okinawan styles of karate, featuring a combination of hard and soft techniques.

Goju ryu incorporates both circular and linear movements into its curriculum, combining hard striking attacks such as kicks and punches with softer open hand circular techniques for attacking, blocking, and controlling the opponent, including locks, grappling, takedowns and throws.
